PROMOTING INCLUSION, ACCEPTANCE, DIVERSITY, AND CONNECTION
There are actions we can take and gestures we can make – like smiling, saying good morning or hello – that make our community safer and more connected. Join us in celebrating the diversity, geography, and history of our city by running, walking, or cycling 5km or more in all the different neighbourhoods. The goal is to connect, to explore our city, to say hello to as many people as possible, and to get outside and move. We can be great ambassadors for inclusion and connection. Make movement the thread that joins together all the different parts of our community.
The Initiative: Run Richmond: May 2 - June 2, 2021
Why:
Promote inclusion, acceptance, diversity and connection. Grassroots activism - making our communities safer by walking/running/riding in them and creating connection and awareness.
What:
Run (walk/wheel/ride) 5km or more in all 8 Richmond neighbourhoods: Sea Island, City Centre, East Richmond, South Arm, Steveston, West Richmond, Hamilton, and Thompson.
How:
Join Run Richmond on Strava and record your activity. Post pictures of interest (and favourite spots to eat or drink).

Run Richmond will be following all Provincial guidelines COVID restrictions. Please read the guidelines.
- Maintain social distancing before, during, and after your activity (3 metres apart).
- Running, walking, and outdoor cycling are not restricted activities.
- Must not turn into a social event.
- Outdoor activities limited to a maximum of 10 people (the same people within the group).
